End of Summer

It's official, the nights are getting colder, the rain is starting, it's the end of Summer. Everyone's back to Uni/Work, trying to get back into the swing of things.

Been a pretty amazing summer to be honest, done silly amounts of skateboarding, which is good 'cos it means it's been a mostly dry summer. Managed a fair amount of composing/producing, which is a shocker seeing as productivity generally deteriorates during the summer, probably due to the number of festivals, gigs, partys and general alcohol fueled events that occur.

Portugal was an inspiration, good to get away and clear the noggin', took the laptop though so didn't escape from music tech completely, check the archive of downloadable tunes for "Sao Martinho Do Porto" which I made while I was there.

The Big Chill was bigger and better than last year, saw some amazing artists; Simon Green (Bonobo), Lamb, Noah and the Whale, Chris Cunningham, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. And found some new artists to add to the old playlist; check out Erik Truffaz and Sly Johnson for some beat boxing, trumpet playing, jazz and soul.

Not really sure what else has happened this Summer, time to settle back in to the mundane of Kingston; coursework, The Mill, collaborating, New Slang, lectures etc

Stay chooned for information of a new collaboration I'm envolved in entitled "FloorPlay", featuring the fluteing of myself, the drumming/pianoing of Tobias' Gale, the button pushing, knob twisting skills of Nicholas Budd and the bass guitaring of Mathew Smalley. Should be good.

Enjoy the rain, I'm off to Uni, then going to see Slightly Stoopid in London tonight, amazing.
Later
